You know you're having a bad day when...

I just flipped out on Bella for torturing Adleyn for the gazillionth time today, and put her in time out. Riley went flying up the stairs and came back with his "magic wand" of nerf darts.

He pointed it at my stomach and exclaimed passionately, "I'm trying to make you nice!"

LOL! You know, they always have a knack for making you laugh when you're mad. I was yelling at my daughter once for something she had done and she stopped me and said "You shouldn't yell at me, Mommy! Use an inside voice!!!" (My words come back to bite me in the butt!)

The other day, I had a particularly trying morning trying to get my daughter off to daycare. I had yelled at her and made her cry, and her comment to me once we got out of the car was, "Mommy, I'm going to miss you today." Talk about a guilt trip!

Darn those kids making you feel bad. My daugter aske me the other day after I totally lost it on her for playing with something she KNOWS she is not supposed to even think of touching.

"Mama, you must be mad at me because you look so ugly right now."

I went in my laundry room and cried.

Terri, that would have made me cry too!

Hi Carolyn & welcome! My kids do the same thing. Once, Riley was right at my heels, to the point I was tripping over him, and I got mad. He said, "But Mommy - I follow you around because I love you." I felt terrible!!

Christine - an inside voice? There's non of that in this house! But yes, Riley is ALWAYS reminding me of my own rules, the little bugger. But they are cute.
